NORTHWEST COLORADO RANGERS
It is time again to
get ready for “Where
the Old West Stayed Young” our annual match over Memorial Day week-end. With times being what they are lately, we are
making some changes this year in the interest of economy. As last year door prizes will be limited in
number and trophies for first place only for the main and side matches. Last year’s entrance fee reduction will
continue. Lunch will continue to be
included in your match fee.
This year’s dates
will be May 26th and 28th. We will continue to shoot the main match
stages over two days, with side matches Saturday afternoon. The week-end schedule looks like this:
Friday (5-25) 1:00PM Match set-up and registration
Saturday (5-26) 8:00AM Registration
8:30AM Shooters meeting
9:00AM Main Match—first four stages
12:30PM Lunch (included in match fee)
1:30PM Side Matches
5:00PM Range closed
Sunday (5-27) 8:30AM Main
Match—last four stages
11:30PM Lunch (included in match fee)
12:30PM Match pick-up
2:30PM Awards Presentation
On your entry form
write in the category you want to shoot.
Some categories may be under-represented and need to be
consolidated. Should this occur, you
will be given the opportunity to choose another. SASS membership will no longer be a participation
requirement so bring your non SASS friends and we’ll get them in our game. We will be offering our usual selection of
side matches. A blanket $10 fee will get
you into all the side matches and you are welcome to pre-pay with your match
entry.
The Rangers are now
under ten regular members and we need people to help with the match. If you can work any of the side matches or if
you can be a posse marshal or deputy the Rangers would really
appreciate your assistance. If you can
be in town on Friday and help set up it will make a big difference to us.
Rangers information can be found on line at The
Bears Ears Sportsman Club (BESC) web page.

We’re trying to do as
much as possible of the paperwork, notifications, etc. on-line as it saves
paper, time and money. If you have
access to e-mail please send us that information so we can communicate with you
better. As always, we’d like to hear
from you if you have thoughts or ideas to help us do a better job. Please feel free to call me at 970-824-8407
or E-mail me at akbullen2001@yahoo.com.
